appearance issue with topic numbers

I have created a new embedded forum on my website,now when i try to change the appearance and use a custom css template it does not work.
i fill in the options( every options! i DO type the number of topics!)
and hit save changes button
every time it tells me i should fill in the number of topics,wich i did
any help on this would be greatly appreciated

ps:i have seen another post on this forum describing the same problem and i beg for a fix
