add a description under sub-forums on main page

hello,

I am new to nabble. i need to know something..

can i add a description about a sub-forum under the sub-forum on my main page.

many forums have this. (like digital point forum, and others )

with the current option, the description only appears when we are at the sub-forum


also, can i categorize the sub-forums on the main page. there do not need to have links. (like at digital point forum)

another question: can i add my google ads or kontera ,.... at the rules i saw that i cannot put advertising. is it advertising on the forums or do they mean google ads ,....


please help me. i`m new to this and i want to make a good forum

You don't provide a URL for the digital point forum, so I can't tell exactly what you are looking for. However try an alternative application to a "Forum". "Category" or "Board" may be what you are looking for: OPTIONS > EDITOR > CHANGE APPLICATION TYPE

Whose rules? Give the URL. You may have been reading the rules from an individual forum administrator. I have not seen any rule from Nabble restricting what you can post.

sorry, i did not put the link because i thought it could be a kind of advertising. if you google serach digital point forum, it should be the first result.

Well, Nabble can't duplicate that format exactly, but you can get pretty close by use of a combination of Nabble applications. Experiment with combination of these application types for your forum and sub-forums.

Mixed
Page with topics grouped by sub-applications. If no sub-apps are available, a normal list of topics is displayed.

Category
Page with a simple list of sub-applications and discussions.

Board
Page that groups sub-applications and discussions.
