Why won't widgets display?

I have successfully added some text etc. to the sidebar_widget but I can't get any type of embedded code widgets to work.

 This one is not reporting errors but nothing displays.

I seem to get the same result with any 3rd party widget.

What am I doing wrong?

This is the code in the sidebar_widget...the section of code that  holds 3rd party widget (Christmas Countdown clock ) does not display. I have tried 3 or 4 they don't display.

I was about to start editing your code and I noted that the Count down was there. Is it ok now?

All very strange.  It is still not displaying on my pc. I tried Chrome, FF and IE, but it does display on my Android tablet, running Chrome for Android.

Displaying here in the UK just fine in FF, Chrome and IE.

Do they tell any information that could help us at the site that you got this countdown?

Crazy stuff. It's not a cache issue. It also works on my Android tablet using FF for Android.  Same ISP on both PC and tablet.


Also the problem is that this was the third countdown widget I tried all from different sites. None of them worked. Not working at my friends place running Chrome either.

Hi Michael, is this still an issue? It works for me as well (chrome + linux).
If you still have issues, please check if that page has javascript errors in your browser. This may give us a clue.

Hi Hugo,

I tried many widgets, some would display in one browser not others, I would then check with others, they would display in Chrome mine wouldn't but not in others. Some in FF not in others. I finally found this one which works for everybody.

But there is a problem, no snow in Australia at Christmas, (widget shows snowing) so I'm going to change it.

This time I'm going to put it on the web page inside and outside Nabble to see if there is a difference.

Tried all that. Got the code as simple as I could. didn't work in and out of nabble on any browser. Will check if anyone else is seeing it.

Think it's going into the "too hard basket".

If it was a js error, no-one would see it....right?

Just checked my android tablet and they are both there. The one in Nabble and the other outside at the bottom of the right menu.

It's also working on my android mobile;  and on  FF and Chrome at windows.
