Why has my account been deleted?

I received this message today.    Why????   How can I avoid this happening?

Normally a forum is deleted because of lack of activity on the site - by which I mean visits, not postings.

You would have had warnings that this is going to happen with instructions on what to do to prevent it being automatically deleted - basically visit the forum to keep it active.
