Recently, I received this email from Nabble:
Dear user, Your Nabble site "News & Information" has been deleted. You can download a backup of this site from the link below. Nabble will try to keep this backup available for a few months, but this is not guaranteed. If this content is important to you, save this copy as soon as possible. http://x6.nabble.com/backups/site_56119_2113631460.zip Sincerely, The Nabble team Why did it get deleted? And secondly, when I went to login, my entire user had been deleted, as if I didn't exist. I had to re-register with the same email address I had used to set up the forum? Please advise. |
The normal (if not only) reason a forum will get deleted is a lack of visits. I don't understand! What do you mean by "entire user"? Was this before your forum was deleted? If your entire forum had been deleted it wouldn't have existed for you to login to? Please explain more fully to what and when you were logging in. Perhaps you are saying you had to register here on the support forum to post your question here. That would be normal. Every Nabble forum is completely independent. So you could use the same username, email address and password here as you would on the forum that has been deleted, in the same way that you can use the same details at Amazon, eBay or any other independent site.

I was trying to login to be able to post this question/issue. But the main point is that my entire forum is gone. How do I restore it using the zip thing that was included in the email?
There's another post in the support area very similar to mine, and an administrator restored it for that person. Rod On Jul 8, 2014, at 3:18 AM, GregChapman [via Nabble Support] <[hidden email]> wrote: The normal (if not only) reason a forum will get deleted is a lack of visits. |
That's what will happen this time. Having provided the zip file link, it should be possible for one of the Nabble team to restore it for you. Just wait a while. There are probably Premium Support questions being handled currently.

Hi, I would really like to get this forum restored! Don't understand why it was deleted in the first place.
