When do you delete a forum?

I want to create a forum in my site but there is frighten
Will delete the forum and what are the roads so as not to delete the forum

I have had 2 accidents with deleting on my forums... both times I wanted to delete, and therefore selected 'Yes' to the question asking if I wanted to delete, but I was in the wrong place... It sounds silly, but it can be very confusing when you first start out.

However, when you delete something, you are sent an email that contains the content of the posts that were deleted... I hadn't got as far as entering posts... but I lost all my sub-forum names and headings... I'm sure that there must be a way of copying the whole lot as backup... Please post it here if you find it...

Yes I agree the view is supposed to be a backup copy of the Forum in the case have been deleted either by mistake or when retract my situation and I need Forum
