What encoding do you use?

Hi!

My name is Luna. I am a bit of a developer, and I'm an Administrator of SociopathWorld nabble forums. I'd like to import the backup data into a MySQL database. We set up a Postgressql database, and tried to upload the data, so that we can then export it in SQL. For some reason though, the data seems to be encoded.  so can you please tell me what encoding you used?
