I've been attempting to subscribe to the ActiveMQ forum list for 2 days now. I'm a registered user and when I attempted to post my question it said I needed to be part of the mailing list as well. So I tried subscribing to that list but I never receive an email to confirm/verify I am who I say I am. I've checked my spam/junk folder and nothing. I've tried this 4 separate times.
I then attempted to post my question via email (not the forum web site form) and was able to post via a URL which supposedly will only accept emails from my registered email address. It seems that the post to the server was successful but it's in a PENDING state so no one has been able to read it or comment on my question: http://activemq.2283324.n4.nabble.com/Handling-Errors-and-Re-Try-Listener-execution-td3496469.html Any insight as to why this has been so troublesome and/or what I may be doing wrong would be great, Thanks so much. - Billy - |

That's exactly the page that I've gone to 4 separate times and clicked the Subscribe button which then tells me 'an email has been sent to my address'. The only problem is that I never receive the confirmation email which the system indicates it has sent me.
What I am I missing and/or what am I doing wrong? Thanks for the reply. - Billy -

You don't sound as if you are doing anything wrong. The conventional initial response here would be to ask if you have checked your mail provider's spam folder. Some are over zealous.

Thanks for the reply Greg. Yes indeed, I have checked my spam folder many times and indicated this in my original post. This is extremely odd, I've never had any troubles like this subscribing to other mailing lists.
What's even more odd is that I'm receiving emails from the list which other ActiveMQ users are posting. For example, I just received an email from this user who commented on another users issue: "Gary Tully [via ActiveMQ]" <[hidden email]> On May 6, 2011, at 3:38 AM, GregChapman [via Nabble Support] wrote: You don't sound as if you are doing anything wrong. So you have registered with an e-mail account. Do you check it directly or does it forward to another account where you check then?

I check the account directly, I do not have any forwards in place.
Recently, I did receive an email which was in my spam folder over the weekend. I have since replied to that message to confirm my email address. My original ActiveMQ post is still in a pending state though. Will this change soon? Thanks for the help. - Billy - On May 6, 2011, at 9:56 AM, Peter [via Nabble Support] wrote: So you have registered with an e-mail account.
