Trending topics on forum

Hi there a way to pull together into a list the trending topics on my forum based on the views they have had? I'm thinking since my forum is on my blog if these is possible I can showcase a list of the top 5 or 10 topics of the month on the side bar. Kindly assist

Please, edit your  topics_table_sort macro.  Replace "pinned-and-last-node-date" with "popularity".
