Time zone in atom feeds

I'm in the UK and created a blog post at 10:58 this morning. The web display for the post time is correct but the atom feed shows it as

<published>2010-09-21T02:58:27Z</published>

It might well have been be 02:58 PST but not Zulu time, which is my own time zone, give or take daylight savings.
