"This user name is already in use"

When I try to register into the matplotlib forum, I run into the error "This user name is already in use" (even though this username does not show up in the "People" listing at http://matplotlib.1069221.n5.nabble.com/template/NamlServlet.jtp?macro=app_people&node=2).

If there already is a user with this name I'm sure it's me, but there's no way for me to log in by providing a user name, or to have a password or a link sent to the email associated with the username in question.

How can I free up my username so I can register with it?

You point us to the page for registered users.

However, when I look at the list of Administrators there is an "Unregistered" user there "Ted Cui " - I guess that is you (along with the name of one of the Nabble team). It is not normal for an Administrator to be unregistered.

More curious still is that when you click on the link to that profile there is still a working link to "Send Email to Ted Cui", page. This suggests that there is an email address known to Nabble - which is not compatible with that user being unregistered.

Time for someone from the Nabble team to investigate, I think!
