The introduction to Nabble is lost, forgotten

Graham Perrin
I stumbled across the introduction to Nabble 2,
<http://n2.nabble.com/nabble2.html>

Unless I'm missing something, that introduction is missing from Nabble Help.

I suspect that clicks on <http://n2.nabble.com/Nabble-Support-f1.subapps.html> are few.

Suggestion

There might be value in updating the introduction, or creating a new introduction, then:

a) pinning the introduction to the head of the Nabble Support
b) listing the introduction within Nabble Help
c) maybe, just maybe, adding a reference from Nabble home.

(Nabble Home page is certainly clean and functional, not cluttered, but I wonder whether many of the queries to Nabble Support might be avoided by re-offering a one-page introduction.)

Thanks for consideration.

Regards
Graham

Within an introduction to Nabble: list the six types of application (Forum, and its five alternatives)

Graham Perrin
The list of the six application types is obscure. The list is discovered only when administrators dig through menus (and menu structure could be better, eventually, but that's a separate issue).

At Nabble home <http://www.nabble.com/> there's a list of six things, but it's not the same six.

Suggestion

Within an introduction to Nabble, list the six types:
• Forum
• the five alternatives to Forum.

The current list

Echoed from another topic (copied and pasted whilst rediscovering features of Nabble):
[ ] Forum
    — page with topics and discussions
[ ] Category
    — page with a simple list of sub-applications and discussions
[ ] Board
    — page that groups sub-applications and discussions
[ ] Gallery
    — photo and image gallery
[ ] Blog
    — page with blog entries and related comments
[ ] News
    — page with headlines and posts

And the first two links are (now?) broken.

Is there a link somewhere to a more expansive explanation?

We had another version of Nabble in the past. The new version is this one currently in use. Now we call the first one "Old Nabble". You are looking at old news as if it was from nowadays and thinking about another Nabble besides this current one.
