I have a site with IM creator and there is an option to add an element using HTML however when I enter the code nothing happens. It's just completely blank.
Any ideas? IM creator can't help. Eat Stay Love Bulgaria <script src="http://eat-stay-love-bulgaria.60958.x6.nabble.com/embed/f1"></script> |
Nothing looks wrong with the embedding code you post in your message.
So the answer has to be in where you are putting it. You don't give the URL of the page in which you are embedding the code. Post that and we have some chance of helping you. However, in reality, this is a problem with the where and how you are adding the code to your site - and that is an issue with the software you are using to create your site. It is unlikely that those here can help with that.

Thank you for your reply.
I wanted to add on this page http://www.eatstaylovebulgaria.com/social.html I've got just a twitter and facebook link now as I gave up. The problem is that IM creator is a drag and drop style builder and although you can add HTML elements is just via a "box" where you enter the code on the page you want to display it. It's worked for banners and social plugins but for a forum it jsut doesn't seem to like it ... I'll go back to them, if the code is ok then they need to tell me why it's not accepting it. Thanks again |
Certainly, your page has no trace of the nabble code (I looked at the source code and searched for "nabble").
Sometimes drag and drop site builders can hide the code on parts of the page that are invisible when displayed in a browser, but that is not the case here. It is just not present. As you've demonstrated that you can place other site's embedding code correctly on a page, your's not an obvious case of your user error. So I think you do have to return to IM Creator support. (As a more general piece of web design advice, you've created your social page to be very wide. For those with screens of less than 1280px wide part of your page disappears off screen and you need to scroll horizontally to see it. Your other pages are better, but I still tend to the view that you should design for a maximum screen width of 1024px. That size not only allows for those with smaller screens but also makes text that runs the full width of the screen easier to read - Look at any newspaper, magazine or even book. Most have a maximum of around 12 words per line. There's a reason for that!)

I've just tried again, made a page called forum where the code has been entered but the page just appears blank ... would you mind to check again? And I will adjust those page widths, thanks for the tip!

OK! I've found a page at: http://www.eatstaylovebulgaria.com/forum.html This does include the second part of the embedding code, but not the first. Try again and make sure you enter the full code: <a id="nabblelink" href="http://eat-stay-love-bulgaria.60958.x6.nabble.com/">Eat Stay Love Bulgaria</a> <script src="http://eat-stay-love-bulgaria.60958.x6.nabble.com/embed/f1"></script>

It appears to have worked! Thank you! Weird though because when I'm in my editor mode I can't see anything, just a blank page but I can see it's there on the live site so I guess that's ok!

Not seeing content from another server while you are in editing mode is common in many web editors, not just online drag and drop ones, so it doesn't surprise me.
