Stop New topics outside pinned folders

Hi,

I created a couple of sub forums and have pinned them. I will like for people who visit my forum to only be able to create a new topic within the pinned folders. How can I configure my settings to do this? This is the link to my forum http://www.hersides.com/p/forum_7.html

Hi splendour,

Options > Users > Change permissions

look at Create_topic, to avoid users to post in your main forum, dismark the option(in the check box) for the correspondent groups.

Just to clarify LouK's answer...

You need to remove the "Create_topic" and "Reply" permissions at the top level. All sub-forums will then inherit these permissions.

Then go to each sub-forum in turn, where you want posting allowed, and set the permission on again.
