Request to import mbox files into dead Koha-ILS mailing-lists forums

The Koha-ILS forums are mostly dead on Nabble, due to a url change from 'koha.org' to 'koha-community.org' some 15 months ago... http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/Koha-f3047917.subapps.html

of the current Koha-ILS forums on Nabble -  9 of 10 have been dead for 15 months, due to no-one being able to reconfigure them. People still attempt to ask for help on the Koha lists via Nabble, but the emails never arrive - its frustrating for everyone :/

no *current* member of the Koha community has admin access to the Koha forums on Nabble, so we cannot change the url details to 'revive' our dead Koha forums on Nabble

is there any Nabble admin that would help us by importing some mbox files to restore the 15 months of missing emails from the Koha mailing-lists into the Koha forums on Nabble, and correct the forum details to the new Koha mailing-list urls?

ps: i asked this before, some 6 months ago, and got no response - but i thought the issue is important enough to try again.

Hi Mason, thank you for your message. I don't understand why your first message was ignored, but let's work together to fix those archives.

I've fixed the "koha-dev" and "koha-win32" archives (the MBOX import is discussed below). I can't open the page for the general mailing list (it never loads).

The MBOX import can only be done by Nabble admins. So you should send an email to peter at nabble dot com with the MBOX file and a link to the archive where it should be uploaded to.

We can transfer the ownership of those Nabble archives to someone that is part of the community. Who should be this person? Please find the profile of the person in that archive (find a post and click on his/her avatar), post the link here and I will set him/her as the owner.

the 2  people elected (during the March-2011 Koha IRC meeting) to be Nabble admins were Mason(me) and Galen

i've now corrected the mailing-list info of all the Koha sub-forums,
 and the BibLibre folk could have a http-dir of mbox files ready this (or next) week, for import

i'll keep you posted, thanks for your help
