Removed member from member list!? Please Help

Hi,
I'm new to this so please be gentle.

I set up a forum at http://valley-striders.4881654.n2.nabble.com/ where anybody can view posts, registered people can reply to posts but only members can create new topics.

One of the members is no longer showing on the member list (his posts still show in the users list) and now it only gives him the option to create a topic in the sub-forum rather than in the main forum.

He has also registered to Nabble with a new username to see if that could help and it does exactly the same, except with the new username when he tried to create a topic it did not ask him to become a member of the forum first.

What have I (or he) done wrong?

Sorry, I don't understand the problem. If the user should be a member, just add him again (Options > Users > Who are members?). Have you tried that?

He was a member and then he disappeared from the list (nobody removed him!) but your solution worked

Sorry, I don't understand the problem. If the user should be a member, just add him again (Options > Users > Who are members?). Have you tried that?
