[RESOLVED :-)] Add [RESOLVED] in title

This post was updated on .
Hi,

Is it possible to change the title, e.g. adding "[RESOLVED]" in the title?

I tried using Options > Change title and meta tags, then checking the "use custom values" and adding "[RESOLVED]" in the "Page title" but nothing changed in the topics' list.

Regards,
Thibault

Hi there, as an admin, you can edit all posts. All you have to do is go to the main post(the first post in a topic) and  click on more > edit you will see that you can also change the topic title there.

Titles and meta tags are like "keys" that search engines(like google) use to find webpages. with nabble, you can set specific meta tags for each topic to make it more "friendly" with search engines

Thanks LouK. It works like a charm (once the "Edit_all" right added to Administrators :-))!

Hi!

Is there any "mark as resolved" feature included by default in Nabble forums? Maybe using premium support?
The typical stuff with for example a checkbox to mark the topic as resolved and a green-highlighted div at the bottom.

Actually I noticed that when I add "[RESOLVED]" in the title, the title of the HTML page is updated as well, which don't break old links to the topic (good point!) but changes the results in search engines.

By the way, a HUGE thanks for your work. It's an awesome piece of software here.

Thibault

Hum yes, I think it would be possible, something like a new option for topics(like "pin" lor "lock", add "resolved"), but this could take much time to create all the code in naml. Maybe it's time to buy premium support

You should use http://support.nabble.com/Workgroups-td1559166.html. I guess it would fit perfect for you.
When a work is done, you could simply unassign it.

Hi,

I just take a look at the workgroups. Actually, it rocks but I it's almost too sophisticated :-)

I was more thinking about just a kind of a button (or checkbox) that allows either any of the administrator (or the topic's author, i.e. generally the person who asks for help) to indicate that the original question/issue has been resolved.

You can move the resolved posts to a subforum.
