REMOVED ACCOUNT

Hello -

Recently one of the members of LOA got his underwear in a twist and “Removed his account” which left a lot of these

 “CONTENTS DELETED

 Cancelled By Author notices -

which leaves a big hole in as many as 125 posts... I have tried to delete the posts “Cancelled By Author“ - but then the replies to these post get deleted also - and then they ask my why their post was deleted - when that was not my goal.



Is there any way Nabble can delete all these notices - the member was Grehound27 -

This is happening because there some replies associated with his messages. You have to erase these replies to "completely remove" the post -> delete this post and replies.

I understand this - but I know Nabble can delete the "Deleted by Auther" post and leave all the replies.

That is if Nabble wants to...

PLEZZZZ .... At least delete the LAST  20 or so  - there are over 100 of these "Deleted by Auther" postsd...

My understanding is that complete removal of the post is not possible as the whole business of topic threading is dependant on the node for the original post being in place. If it is not there then any following replies must all disappear as well.

I guess it is possible for you to edit the macro that places the "deleted by  author" text so the post just shows blank. Search for the macro "message_as_html".
