Proposal re "Extras and Add-ons"

GregChapman
Following on from this post:
http://nabble-support.1.n2.nabble.com/Re-Cannot-find-Workgroup-type-in-the-app-types-list-tp6899876p6899876.html

I guess it is because many of the "Extras & Add-ons" start out as requests from Premium Support users for whom the facility is indeed an extra or add-on that they get placed on that menu. It is the obvious place to put them while they are under development and being tested by the user who requested them. However, when any of them get released to the wider community yet remain on that menu branch, it does become highly unintuitive and it does end up a very odd hotch potch of options.

My Proposal:
There seems to be lots of room for a number of additional buttons on the "Change Appearance" toolbar. You should consider moving a number of the the options from the Extras and Add-ons screens (e.g. the "Social Links" options) to existing or additional buttons on the "Change Appearance" toolbar.

Almost all the remaining options from "Extras and Add-ons" could go on a similar "Change Function" toolbar accessed from the OPTIONS > APPLICATION menu. Indeed, a number of the existing options on that menu (e.g. "Change Title and Metatags" and "Use Google Analytics") would probably sit very well on such a "Change Function" toolbar and hopefully the whole thing would then be more intuitive for the new user.

You'll probably tell me that's exactly what you're planning!

BTW, congratulations on quietly adding the "Color Schemes" button to the "Color" menu on the "Change Appearance" toolbar. Its lack in the original version of that menu was sorely missed by many, I'm sure.
