Hi,

Long shot here, but would it be possible to edit permissions in such a way as to limit both the viewing and posting in sub forums?

Just go to:

Options > Users > Change permissions

and remove the permissions for the groups of user that you do not want to "View" "Create_topic" and "Reply".

Simples! (to quote a UK-based advertising campaign!)
