Private Forum

Drew
Is it possible to have a hidden forum?
I see that you can have a forum with restricted access. But Its not hidden. I want it only to be seen on the forum list but those members with access to see it only when they are signed in.

Yes when you lok at the list of forum catagories. The "private" on is still visable  as a catagory even if you don't have permission to view the post within. Can you make the forum only visable for those with permission. I'm looking for something more hidden.

As admin, you can set user permissions in the top / outer level / root / whatever:
Options > Users > Change permissions > View... and select who can view this application and its contents...
So ensure that 'Anyone' is not selected.

As registered users are all grouped as 'Registered', you may opt to select manually who is allowed access and put them into the Members group, or another group of your choice...
Options > Users > Extras & Add-ons > Email & Notifications and select...
Notify me when someone registers
When a user completes the registration process, an email is sent to all administrators with the details of the user (e.g., username, email, link to profile page).

I didn't realize this.  Thank you.
