Post a html code

Silvana
Hello, why when I insert an html code in a post on my forum, as text, it is interpreted as a code, even if I do not put the check mark for "Message is in HTML Format"? It only happens to me, because my users, however, can write it as text without problems. As in this post, where the code has been entered normally, without using the "raw text". Can you explain? Thank you ..
(Sorry for the bad translation from italian ..)

The best thing to do is always use the "raw" tag. Some tags are always interpreted.
Is there any tag that a user used in text you couldn't?

Ciao Pedro. No, the person who wrote that post has no experience of html, I exclude that has used special tags. I know that I can use the "raw" tag, but the result is not the best, the text is very small and out of the display. Look here:

I would like to understand why some of my users can write code without raw. Thanks Pedro ..

It will depend on what HTML code they use.

For example if you use the [B] or [I] or [h2] button on the edit box all it does is enter HTML code - you can also enter that by hand. I believe that some other code also works without having to check the "Message is in HTML Format" box. Pedro can probably supply the list.

You can also trick the Nabble system by leaving spaces around tags, so I could write < b> bold < /b> and it might look like code but isn't!

Thanks Greg. For the moment I solved by using the tag: @lt; @gt, and it works.
Ciao and good work ..
