Please remove an inappropriate post

CassidyA
I found an inappropriate post on a new thread in my forum this morning.  For some reason, the email account used to create the forum is not recognized when I try to log in, so I can't delete anything as an admin.

The post and thread I would like deleted is here
http://fall-creek-relief-society-forum.11988.n7.nabble.com/Man-Sucking-Women-Breast-Video-td32.html

Is there any way that I can find out the email address that is set as the admin on my forum? I'd like to change the privacy settings to avoid this in the future.

Let's deal with the important issue first!

Are you sure there's not a caps lock/case issue with the password when attempting logging in?
Do you rely on saved passwords in your browser to log in?
Are you using the same computer/device/browser as usual?

If all else fails, one of the Nabble team may be able to reset your password.

Currently, it appears that those in the "Anyone" group are able to post. (I noticed there is a post from "Cassidy" an unregistered user.) It's almost good fortune that the spammer chose to register first as you should be able to find out the email address used, once you get admin access back.

Be warned however, that just allowing registered users to post may not stop that kind of spam. Anyone can register and banning will not stop registration with a different address. You may need to consider implementing a manual membership scheme so you can monitor those joining your forum.

Thanks Pedro.

Greg, I appreciate your help. I've tried all of these things with no luck in getting admin access yet. I'm planning to just shut down the forum as soon as possible, since it seems that I couldn't get the privacy scenario I'm looking for through Nabble at this time.

I am surprised by that remark as you can create totally private forums using Nabble which only approved users can even have access to view - let alone post, with as many different areas with as many different access rights for different individuals or groups as you like.

Just explain what you are trying to achieve and someone should be able to explain what options to set.
