Pending Alert

energizamx
Hello, I'm the administrator of a Forum, and by mistake, I entered to the Options|Editor|Mailing List Settings and put information in the fields with the red asterisks  (*)

So now, every time there is a post , one gets the message Pending Alert: This post has NOT been accepted by the mailing list yet. , which causes confusion because people think their message is not being stored to the forum and is not being sent to members, but now I understand that it means that it is not being stored in a mailing list  archive which I don't have.

I really don't wish that function, I don't have a mailing list to archive the Forum info.

Could you help me please to reset it back to how it was? (empty in the fields with the red asterisks)

Thanks

Hallo Peter:

It looks more like a forum, but by mistake I setup the mailing list settings, which have a red asterisk, so now I can not remove them.

My Google Mailing list is receiving posts from the Nabble Forum, but even though the posts are accepted by Google Groups, Nabble keeps saying it is not (Pending Alert).

Hope this explains.
Thanks in advance

Re: Pending Alert

OK, let me get this straight:

Do you want your Nabble application to work as an independent forum?

or

Do you want your Nabble application to work as a forum facade for your mailing list so when someone posts to the mailing list it gets posted to the forum and vice-versa?

Re: Pending Alert

Thanks Peter:

Yes, The Nabble Forum is my main forum.  I didn't really need a mailing
list archive in Google, even though the Google group is working as such,
but despite the posts in Nabble are being archived in Google Group, the
Nabble Forum shows "Pending Alert" (post not accepted by mailing list
--the google group--).

At the same time, when I post in Google, the Nabble forum is receiving a
copy, but this is just the result of being fiddling with the 2.

The main thing now is the Pending Alert message is not right, because
Google is accepting the message from Nabble.  Now that I have the 2
connected, it seems useful, not only for archiving.

Thanks again.
