Our lists have moved but nabble uses the old addrress

jpff
Nabble seems to mirror out Csound mailing lists but we have moved from sourceforge to heanet.ie
I am seeing messages sent to the old address all apparently via nabble.  I will be killing the rump list shortly; how can I stop nabble wasting my time to forward mail which the user wull probably not see?

Contact the owner of the mail lists in question and ask them to make the necessary changes to their forum.

The forum should have a "Created by" link at the bottom of the home page. Click on that username and you get taken to a screen where you can email the owner.

If you get no response ask again here quoting the URLs of the list archives that need updating and one of the Nabble team should be able to intervene and change the owner to someone who continues to take an active interest in the forum. (It's always a good idea to have multiple users with administrator rights to protect against this kind of issue.)

Apologies, I should have said, "contact the owner of the list archive in question". It is the person who used Nabble's service to subscribe to your list that you need to contact. You need to visit the archive in question to find the "Created by" link at the bottom of its home page.

You should find any message received from the archive has a link in its footer that will take you to the archive and enable you to find its owner.

Having done a quick search it seems that the archive is at:
http://csound.1045644.n5.nabble.com/
and its creator is now listed as one of the Nabble staff. That suggests there has been problems with the ownership of the archive in the past. If you have no desire to take control of it, I suggest you email Hugo and ask for it to be deleted.

I said nothing about registering. I said email the owner of the mail list archive/mirror if you are the owner of the mail list that is being mirrored/archived on Nabbe's platform. As I said, you can do that by clicking on the Hugo link.

However, I am now confused. Having looked further on the forum at the URL I gave I see no evidence that it is a mirror of a list hosted on another platform. Indeed, it appears to be the only platform for users and developers to communicate and is linked from the main menu on the main Csound web site. I see no evidence of this being a mirror of any other set of mail lists recognised by the Csound site.

On that basis I can only suggest you unsubscribe from the unwanted mail you are getting from the forum. You'll find a link to do that in the footer of any message you receive from Nabble.

What am I misunderstanding here and what connection does a change of host for Csound source code have to do with Csound mail lists.
