"Newest Comments" indicator / list in NEWS application

Hi.

Is there a way I can have something like a summary listing of "Newest Comments" in  my NEWS forum?

I find it difficult to track which articles have NEW comments. Perhaps even an icon on the article title that lights up when there's a new comment.

This would greatly help in terms of monitoring my reader comments.

You can view your NEWS with the "topics" format. For example, Nabble has a news page here:
http://nabble-support.1.n2.nabble.com/Nabble-Latest-Features-f1559156.html

But we can view it as a list of topics by adding a ".topics.html" at the end, see it yourself:
http://nabble-support.1.n2.nabble.com/Nabble-Latest-Features-f1559156.topics.html

The topics page sorts topics by the date of the last post. This should solve your problem. You can also use the subscription feature to get new posts in your inbox.

Does your suggestion apply to "Comments" to articles written?

This is where Im coming from...

Since my forum is in NEWS format and articles written are arranged newest on top, new comments to each article is only reflected in that little indicator beside the article title which says "5 comments" but it doesn't really tell me if there's a NEW comment I haven't read yet since yesterday.

So my question is - is it possible to get any indication on the main page that certain articles (whether recently posted or posted months back) have NEW comments on them?

The purpose of this is to help me, as the administrator AND my readers to see in one glance the newest comments on any number of articles (both old and new) so they can comment back.

Something like this... on the right side, there are 3 headings - People, Subcategories & Monthly Archives. Can you add another heading like "Articles with New comments" specific to the individual person reading the site. For example - If i view the site everyday and read each new comment, the list is either empty or has only a few "new comments" listed since i've read them all and am updated so to speak. On the other hand, another guy whose last visit was 3 weeks ago has a long list when he views the site..

Something like that...

What I love most about your free forums is can load pictures (apart from the many other functions you've built into it) Speaking of pictures, any chance you can allow uploading like at least 5 pictures at a time? one by one is tedious.   :)
