People are saying they are signing up for my forum but I am not seeing any new users or any email notifications?

Also how do I get an email that someone has registered? What is the difference between a registered person and a member???

What do they mean by "signing up"?

What do you mean by "not seeing any new users"?  Perhaps they are registering but not posting?

What you you mean by "email notifications"? Have you opted to subscribe to posts made on your forum? Have you checked the option at:
Options > Application > Extras & Add-ons > Email & Notifications > Notify me when someone registers

Please explain in more detail.
