New mailing list arhive shows empty

bipin
Hi all,
I have just created a mailing list archive. I have followed the instructions on adding the nabble email id to the mailing list. The nabble page is still showing empty. What do I need to do be able to view all the mails in the archive.

Thanks

When you create a Nabble archive of a mail list, what you are doing is subscribing your new forum to the mail list. It will then post any message it receives to your archive. Nabble has no automated mechanism  for grabbing previously posted messages.

If you want to add previously posted messages to your archive you will need to post an MBOX archive of past messages at:
http://support.nabble.com/Mbox-import-f7590796.html
following the instructions at the top of the page and then Nabble will import it for you.

Is Nabble still importing mbox files? There have been three requests since January 2015 that don't look like they were imported, so I wish I had got on-board last year.

I just made a test copy of our computer-assisted reporting list at Nabble after seeing the great "SPSSX" and "R" discussion groups here. I might setup a Spanish version of our list here too, but don't see any support anymore for mbox files, which is sad since we had 21 years of excellent discussion about data processing techniques for a list that has grown to 2400 subscribers, and really started to take off (50% grown since 2012, 4 different mailing list managers since 1994).

Thanks.

As far as I know they are but, in truth, they can be a little slow on some support questions these days.
