Nabble Forum Language

Hello, im new to the forums.

I just embeeded a nabble forum to my website. Since im from Norway, it would be nice to have some of the content in Norwegian, stuff like " New Topic, Topics View, People, Options, advanced search ". Only the stuff that the user are able to see. It is no need to change the language in the admin panel.

Is there an easy way, to change the language on the text/links on the forum?

Hi Rmk82. The translation infrastructure is almost ready to be deployed but even then I'm afraid we don't have anyone in our staff capable of translating the texts to your language. We have a few volunteers to translate the texts when the time is arrived but I'm not sure if any of them is able to translate to Norwegian.
For now it will have to stay as it is but we are working on that.

Im guessing there arent any chanse i can get a hold of the needed files so i can translate it myselfe eather?

Edit: Cant find any source files anywhere, so i guess thats not an option then. However, if im a paying costumer, would i get a hold of the source files that way? Or isnt that an option eather?

We will make the file available as soon as all the pages are using the translation infrastructure. There are just a few missing now.

Came by the forum today to ask a question on a different matter - but - saw this thread and thought I'd jump in.

Many of the Native Language teams in our foundation are now embedding their language forums into our main website infrastructure - and example:

Ok - so, the ability to offer the Nabble UI in various languages would be of real interest to us, thanks so much for taking this task on.

Also - we have a number of people that translate...so, it seems to me that we might be able to help with some languages.

Let me know how best to proceed on that.

Hi Peter,

Well, I went ahead an put a post to our website teams ML and got a quick response from someone on the Japanese team, along with an offer to help with the translation for said language, if needed.

I saw you (I think was you) mentioned 'a file' being ready - I've been working with the OpenOffice/LibreOffice teams now, 7 hears, so I've seen a lot of translation work done.

So speaking for myself - if there is anything I can do to help inside your current team/tool structure let me know how/who is best to touch base with to do that. If you guys have a handle on what/if any/ tools you will utilise to manage the translations and can use some help - or if you haven't I could certainly bring some help in that area.

I'm afraid there's nothing that can be done to help atm. We are just moving out the strings from the pages to the language-specific file, to be translated.
When this is done we would be very happy to have some help in translating.
