Nabble 2 API

pandemoniumsyndicate
Howdy Folks, I'm curious if there is any standard API for Nabble 2? I would like to be able to do things such as retrieve forum topics and threads, most recent posts, number of users, etc using some kind of API. If that means sending off a URL that's fine, but I was curious if anything like it exists.

You can change the NAML code of your forum to retrieve that information. So the answer is yes, this is possible, but requires some work on the NAML code.

Changes to source? I heard we'd be able to install Nabble locally, is that what we're talking about? If so, how do I get that source?

Nabble isn't available as an installable package at this time. (It used to be on the road map, but I think it's still a long way off.)

To access the source of your own applications simply use the "See how NAML generates this page" link at the bottom of any page. On your own app this is editable. Documentation is at: http://naml.nabble.com (though it is still a bit thin at the moment.) and there's a special area of the support forum for queries at:
