My forum will not work once I publish it. Please help!

My forum does not work when its published.  I read a couple things here but, I'm a newbie on designing websites.  Also, how do I make the forum transparent to show my background?

Hi adownton,

It looks as if your forum is working to me. What doesn't work? (Explain, what you click/type and what the result is with each step.)

The background looks like the page in which it is embedded. Have you now solved that?

Hi Greg,

I just went to it.  None of the links work.  I can't start a topic or anything.  As far as the background.  I put the color in as close to the background as I could.  But, isn't there a way to use the background that I have?

Ah! I see what you mean!  Unfortunately this appears to be entirely an iWeb issue rather than a Nabble one.

From what I can make out from the HTML code, your whole site using using click and dragging techniques. On every page I looked at there appears to be a number of over-lapping layers so that while you may be able to see your forum, it, effectively, is covered by other layers. It looks to me as if you have used techniques that you may be able to get away with when working with desk top publishing software and expect to print your document but do not work when creating a web page.

One puzzle is where the embedding code is that I would expect to see somewhere in the code of your Message Board page. It is not there - anywhere. That suggests it is being loaded by some script on the page. In short, I have yet to work out how the page is even loading what you see.

Put another way, this problem is definitely one for iWeb support.

Ok.  I got it to work.  I had to delete the "MESSAGE BOARD" title I had at the top.

Mmmm. It's still not working for me.

I try clicking over various places on the forum and items on the bottom row of your main menu become selected instead.

This remains a problem with the way your page is constructed, rather than an issue with Nabble. You need to get that side sorted.

Thats because I haven't published it on the website as of yet.  I did a local publish and it worked.  As before it didn't.  I'm not going to publish on the website until probably this weekend when it officially goes live.
