Hi,
please let me know where my forum has gone, it has just disappeared for no reason and I need it back asap. All it is now is just a blank page within the website. Im pretty sure its been at least 3 weeks like this . Thanks- see link here: http://montyjunk.weebly.com/sell-swap-give-away-forums--login.html cheers Phantom brains |
The forum will not have "just disappeared for no reason". The code for embedding your forum does appear in the source code for your page. You find it in this section:
<div id="content"> <div id='wsite-content' class='wsite-not-footer'> <div><div id="411671167814340070" align="left" style="width: 100%; overflow-y: hidden;" class="wcustomhtml"><a id="nabblelink" href="http://monty-junk-forums.993385.n3.nabble.com/">MONTY JUNK FORUMS</a> <script src="http://monty-junk-forums.993385.n3.nabble.com/embed/f2544007"></script></div> </div></div> </div> You need to investigate the CSS styling that you have applied to the following ids and classes: id="content" id='wsite-content' class='wsite-not-footer' id="411671167814340070" class="wcustomhtml" plus possibly the inline CSS styling code "overflow-y: hidden;" as these will explain why the forum does not display. In short, this is not a Nabble problem but arises from the code on the page in which you have embedded your forum. If you cannot figure it out and correct it, you should turn to weebly support for assistance.

Gday Greg, I received this email back from weebly, they said to reinstall the forum, but if i do that wont all the forum headings and subheadings be wiped off , updated & replaced. The funny thing is , that I never updated or changed anything on the website I just logged in and the forum was gone one day. See below text: Hi Mark, If your forum was working at one point and now it is not, I would go back to the original source (Nabble, in this case) for a new copy of the forum code. Something in the forum code could have changed and by updating the forum code you may fix the issue. However, I'm going to escalate this to our developers for review and to broadcast it to our support team. Weebly has thousands of users who use Nabble forums in their web sites and if this is an issue we will have others with the same question. In the meantime, try re-installing the forum. This may solve this issue without further research. Question to you: Did you make any changes to your HTML/CSS theme? Weebly support |
Your forum should be fully intact on the Nabble servers just as you last saw it. When I posted last time all that I expected had happened was that the forum had become invisible because of where the Nabble embedding code has been placed on your weebly page. However, I have checked again the embedding code I found on your page in my last post. There appears to be some kind of problem with it, as the code seems to send you to a "forum not found" page at Nabble: <a id="nabblelink" href="http://monty-junk-forums.993385.n3.nabble.com/">MONTY JUNK FORUMS</a> <script src="http://monty-junk-forums.993385.n3.nabble.com/embed/f2544007"></script> This seems to be one that needs to wait for one of the Nabble team to investigate further.
