I don't think I understand the problem.

It sounds as if you have added a full stop to the embedding code, in which case you should be able to edit the code to remove the full stop.

Can you post the forum address, so others can understand better.

Re: My embed redirect address ends with a full stop

If you want your forum embedded in your web site you copy the code in the box towards the top of the embedding options page and paste it into your forum page on your main web site.

However with the default Redirect option "Allow users to view this forum without embedding." selected it is always possible for a visitor to escape from that embedding by, for example, choosing to open a link within the forum in a new tab or window. Also anyone seeing your Nabble forum in a search ch engine result would go directly to the unembedded forum.

The second option forces any attempt to exit the embedding to be redirected so it only opens within the named page. Similarly clicking on a search engine result will ensure the forum is then shown within your web site. The full stop appears only because it's the end of the sentence and has no effect on the action of the selected radio button option.

If you have your forum embedded on more than one page on your web site then you will get further options on where to redirect any attempt to exit the embedding - one for each of the places where your forum is embedded.

Links Open In New Window

Hi Steve,

First a suggestion...

It is not good practice to delete the contents of your messages once a solution to a problem has been found. It can make answers difficult to follow which is not helpful to those who come after you with the same problem. Also, it is not good practice to continue a topic with a completely different problem. Again, it makes it difficult for others to find the answers to their problems when they use the forum's search feature.

In your case I think the solution is to go to:

Options > Application > Extras & add-ons > Content > Open links in new window

The default is to have this box checked.

Most people want to keep people on their site, so will keep the feature turned on, because if you open an external link in the same window your visitor exits the forum there and is no way back (except via their browser's back button). On most mobile devices, the back button can be even more obscure to find and confusing than it is to find on desktop devices.
