There should be an option to do this in the menu.  What options do you see and which topic do you want to move?

Hi Steve, please follow these steps to move a topic to a sub-forum:

(1) Copy the URL of the sub-forum to the clipboard (e.g., http://my-sub-forum.nnn.n2.nabble.com/)

(2) Open the topic you want to move and then click on "Options > Move topic to...". Then paste the URL from the step 1 in the input field and save.

Please let me know if you still have issues.

I find that it coppies the topic to the sub forum, but does not move it
When I delete the topic from my main forum it is removed from the sub forum
It does move the topic to the sub-forum. You are probably confused because the front page of your forum shows all topics, including topics from sub-forums. You can look at the last column "Sub-Forum" to see where that topic is located.

I need it to show say "How to fish Denhall Fishery" on the main page, to click on that and be sent to How to fish Denhall Fishery Sub-Forum
I am not sure I understand what you want to do. I don't see a "How to fish Denhall Fishery" sub-forum, so I assume you will create one, correct? The question now is: where exactly do you want to place the link to that sub-forum? One possibility is to add this link to the forum description where you currently have "Why not join are forum...". If you don't want to change that description to include a link, then please let me know where that link should be placed.
