I am the owner of the forum and a member poster made a post in an incorrect topic. How do I move that post from one topic to another? In the options tab, I used the feature to move a post and it asks me for a permalink. What is that and how do I enter it?
Thank you

The permalink is a "permanent link" that you can use to refer to a forum, topic or post at Nabble. To find the permalink of a topic, open it and click on "Options > Permalink". Posts also have permalinks, which can be found under "More > Permalink".
Please let me know if you need more help. Regards, Hugo Teixeira Nabble.com |

I am able to find the permailink under the options, but still confused on how to move posts from one thread to another. Can you assist?
TIA, Will B

If it helps:
* forget all notions of drag and drop (from A to B) 1. begin by viewing B (the destination) 2. present the permalink for your destination 3. copy that permalink (to your clipboard) 4. go to A (the source, the thing you wish to move) 5. take the option to move 6. in the page that appears, you'll find a fairly up-front text field to which you should copy the address that you copied at step (3). A little weird at first, but after you have done it once it makes sense :) |

Thank you very much. That worked!
Do it once, it becomes easy! A follow-up question: How can I as the forum creator/owner, edit a post by someone? I do not want to delete it entirely, just edit some words in it. TIA, Will B

In the 'More' menu alongside a post you may find the option to edit. If you do not find the option, then please consider (by coincidence) <http://n2.nabble.com/A-post-arising-from-e-mail-%28SMTP%29-can-not-be-edited-within-Nabble-tp1694988p1694999.html> Kind regards Graham Postscript: on the rare occasions when it is felt necessary to edit the words of another person, observe etiquette. There may be Nabble guidelines on this subject. |

I looked at this menu and in it contains only these options:
Reply to author Ban author Remove post from thread Move post to . . . Print post Permailnk I do not see an option to "edit post" or a moderator edit function. Note: It was not an email post. TIA, Will B
