More closely integrating nabble?

I have a need to integrate nabble with my websites and various requests have been made to help with this such as automating user sign up.
Since these requests were made I have seen various posts regarding an integrated self hosting solution which sounds like it might be just what I am looking for and I was wondering if there is any update on this.
