Mobile Phone Blog

amerzib
I have embedded my blog code into my layout in Adobe Muse, the desktop site looks great but I am wondering how I can make the mobile version look good too. The right hand column items are all trunkated. There are posts on here about this but they are old and some of the methods described are outdated as the options in Nabble have changed. Thanks

I believe this is a significant and fundamental problem with Nabble now mobile devices are becoming increasingly popular.

Most pages are constructed using HTML tables. Inevitably, the various columns must appear side by side and this makes full adaptation to fit narrow screens impossible.

Unfortunately, I believe it needs a complete overhaul of Nabble's underlying code to provide a full answer to display on mobile devices.

In your case there may be the additional problem caused by the design of the code in which your forum is embedded which won't allow the Nabble app to scroll within the space allowed for it.

So I guess there's nothing I can do, add in some code or anything to make this look better?
If not, I'll have to delete the mobile version of my site.

That depends on how well you can control the styling rules for the mobile version of your site.

Given the tabular nature of a Nabble page, the best you could do is add a scroll bar to the area of the page (the "box" in HTML jargon) that contains the forum.

Doing that should just be a matter of adding a single CSS rule that controls how, on a mobile device, any overflow of content to be displayed within that "box" should be treated.

If you're using software to build your site that does not allow you to edit the CSS file that contains the styling rules for a mobile device then, indeed, you have little choice but to remove the Mobile option.
