Missing messages posted on Nabble

Gert Vanthienen
L.S.,

At Apache ServiceMix, we have a user and a dev mailing list that are also made available through Nabble (at http://servicemix.396122.n5.nabble.com/).  Lately however, we have found that some messages sent from Nabble are not arriving at the mailing list.

Examples are http://servicemix.396122.n5.nabble.com/Where-is-SMX-ARCH-td3264504.html and http://servicemix.396122.n5.nabble.com/activemq-list-error-td4264765.html -- is there any reason why these message could be missing?

I don't think this is due to list moderation problems for unsubscribed senders -- I'm a moderator for those mailing lists myself and these messages have not been passed along for moderation (don't find the message in spam folders either).

Regards,

Gert Vanthienen

Re: Missing messages posted on Nabble

Hugo <Nabble>
Those messages are not pending. Did they get through the list?
Nabble always send the message to the mailing list on behalf of the user, so the problem tends to be on the mailing list side. For example, the mailing list may compare the email of the user and the SMTP server used to send the message. If they are not related, the server may assume that the message is spam and discard it. But in our case, the message is valid. Please let me know if you found something that could help us improve our system.
