Member Access Denied Issue

daved52
Hello.  I'm a new administrator for our forum http://blair-bicycle-club.318.s1.nabble.com/ and I have an issue with a long time user/member.

This member had been using the forum as recently as last week with no issues  but today he logged in with his usual email address but then received an access denied message.  The system prompted him to contact the admin to request becoming a member of the club.  The email I received is below:

Dear Dave Dunlap,

Perry requested authorization to join the Blair Bicycle Club:
http://blair-bicycle-club.318.s1.nabble.com/

Explanation from this user:
I seem to have lost access to forum. Can you restore? Thanks

User email:
prusso@atlanticbb.net

To accept this request, you should add this user to at least one group that has access to this area:
http://blair-bicycle-club.318.s1.nabble.com/template/NamlServlet.jtp?macro=change_user_groups&user=27
Or you can ignore this email if it is better to keep this user away from that area.

When I follow the link, it takes me to his profile but I can't see anything out of the ordinary.  It appears to be the same as anyone else.  He is already a listed on the "Anyone" group.

The only area of the system that doesn't seem right is (from the main page): Options > Users > Manage Subscribers -  I can't find his name/email address in that list.  If I go to Options > Users > Manage Users & Groups - he is listed under All Users & Registered Users.

Can you assist with helping me to correct this problem?

Thanks,
Dave

Thanks Israel.  I had the member check and that appears to have fixed the problem.  The question I have now is why was adding him to the Members Group necessary to correct the problem?  The vast majority of the registered members are not in the Members Group yet they do not have issues with creating topics.  And why did this member suddenly start having issues?

Thanks again for your help.

Dave
