Login Link is Missing

jsantagata
I embedded a news page on my website which seemes to work fine.  However, the Login and Register links and Views can only be seen when using Google Chrome.  Each are missing in Firefox and Opera.  I am not sure about IE.  Any ideas?

Can you post the URL of the page with the forum.

Strange indeed!  Even in Chrome you can't see the "Refresh" and "Permalink" options that should be there as well.

My best guess is that your "Xara HTML filter" software is inserting code that complains about the JavaScript that drives those various components of the forum.

Thanks for the look and your input!  I'll see if the Nabble and Xara techies can pinpoint the problem.

Re: Login Link is Missing

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.  I have contacted Xara as you suggested and
they have responded with the following:

1. The javascript errors that are being shown are because there is
javascript being executed in the page within the iframe (the Nabble
page) and that page does not share either the same domain, port or
protocol as the page the iframe is inserted on. In other words your page
is not on the same domain as the Nabble page. This article has further
information on this
http://javascript.about.com/od/reference/a/frame3.htm

2. I'm afraid that there is little that we can do - I have embedded your
page, exactly as you have done but in a custom made HTML page so nothing
to do with Web Designer and I get all of the same behavior as you are
seeing. This test page can be viewed at
http://webdesigner.xara.com/petetest/BLJ-708578/test.htm

If Nabble provides a solution that you can embed their widgets in
another page and you are seeing these issues with it, and the problem is
not caused by the program you're designing your website in (in this case
Web Designer, which the above links shows it's not causing the problem),
then only Nabble can provide you with assistance to this.
