Locking threads

Fee
Hi Guys
I am sure you must all groan when you see my name pop up on here, but tbh I have learnt a lot about running a forum and it is thanks to you guys.

Anyway, I notice you have given us a facility to lock threads.
Yesterday I wrote a test post and asked members to post on it, then I asked them to post again and I locked it.  I just wanted to see if it worked and I was doing it properly, in case I needed to do it for real any time.
Everyone posted under me!  Lol.
But...someone else posted another thread and then discovered she could lock her own thread.  So she did.  I now get an announcement that tells me I have to get in touch with her if I want to post on her thread.  It also says she is admin which she isn't.

What did I do wrong and how is it that another member can lock her thread?

Re: Locking threads

Hugo <Nabble>
Hi Fee, the idea of this feature is: "any user can lock his/her posts so that other users can't reply to it."

There are important things to remember:
 - this feature doesn't lock the whole thread. It locks only the current post. So people can still reply to other posts in the same thread that are not locked.
 - this feature is available to all users because the lock affects only the current post (we at Nabble don't see any harm in this decision).

We do have plans to implement a "Lock this thread" feature and make it available to forum admins only. But this isn't high priority for us now.
