.JTP extension

Arsha
Hello,

I'm very curious what does this .JTP extension (like here in ~/NodeServlet.JTP and there) mean? Is it related to JAVA?

Thanks, Arsha

Yes, it is java. But this is a custom technology developed by the Nabble team.

Thanks for replying. But can you be more specific about this technology? Any published specification? Is this also used somewhere other than in Nabble? Is this related to JSP? I don't know anything about jsp but I'm already familiar with asp.

Technology choices are a lot about personal preferences.  I liked the old JHTML which preceded JSP, but I wasn't so happy with some of the complexity introduced with JSP.  So JTP is basically our proprietary version of JHTML.  It will soon be replaced with the template technology that we are developing, so it shouldn't be of much interest to anyone.
