Is it possible to have rss feeds for single topics?

afaba
I'm still just getting used to the forum and setting up for use for an association website.

Predominantly we would like to use the forum to communicate on a few key topics and I'd like to be able to display RSS feeds in selected areas of our website relating to the topic I want a feed for.  I realize I can embed a feed for "topics" but that will feed all topics won't it?  I only want to create a feed for just single topics.  Is that possible?

For example (we are a body art association) I have one topic which is only for models to add a comment regarding their availability and if they are in need of other members (photographers or artists) for any reason.  This feed would then be highlighted in an area that is for anyone looking for a model and displaying any posts made by models.

I'd have a similar feed for 2 other topics.

Does it have to be done via a Feed?

At the topic level people can opt to "Subscribe via email" (On the options menu) and get notifications of all replies to a topic that way.

Feeds are only available at the Forum level, so if a feed is essential, you'll need to create a sub-forum for that one topic and then adjust the permissions for that sub-forum to allow only replies to the one topic you post there.
