Is it just me or do the feeds not update properly?

The feeds for newest messages and newest threads don't seem to update accordingly. Is this something that will be fixed?

What I want is an aggregate feed of all the newest threads and another aggregate feed of all the newest messages on my message board (including all sub-forums).
But theses two feeds don't seem to be updating accordingly.

The reader I'm using is the built in reader in Firefox 3 and also Liferea which is a very good feed reader for Linux.

What I would like to do is add a google gadget to the top of my message board that shows a short aggregated list of the most recent threads and/or a short list of the most recent messages, without changing the forum format. maybe you could give me a better suggestion on doing this.

Also, I think a really good feature would be the ability to construct an xml feed from a search or an advanced search.
