Import my web site users list?

The Ricster
Hello. Here is the situation and question. I have a website with a registration process for my users (linked to a sql database). I don't want my users to have to log on to another system to post. Is there are way I can send the username and password to nabble to have my users automatically logged in to my forum? Maybe there is something I can add to the embedded code snippet like command line parameters? This has been quite a stumbling block on my selecting a forum, and surely it must have been discussed by now, as this must be a fairly common question. any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance...

Hi Ricster, you are not the first one to request this feature. The problem we face is that spammers could you use this feature to create thousands of users, subscribe them and post to the forum so that all subscribers can receive the spam emails sent by the Nabble SMTP servers (which would look really bad for Nabble's reputation). One idea is to let people login with an OpenID account, so registration wouldn't be a problem. Please let me know if you have other ideas, suggestions, comments or concerns.
