How to set automatic alerts when writing a post ?

rsk82
The problem is that this box at the bottom of the textarea I'm typing now is unchecked by default, so always when I finished writing I must remember to check it.

Is there any option in my panel to have it auto in *on* state ?

No!

The option you ask for shouldn't be needed as you can "Subscribe" to any topic, sub-forum or forum. When subscribed you get an email of every post made within the respective area. When you don't wish to receive any more messages you just unsubscribe.

Go to the topic, sub-forum or forum in question and select:

Options > Subscribe via email

You then are sent to screen which offers further options to limit the messages you will receive.

Note: If you subscribe at a level higher than "Topic" and then look at subscriptions at a lower level you will not appear to be subscribed - however, you will get the mail requested. If you are tempted to subscribe at a lower level as well, you'll start to get duplicate messages.
