How to save whether or not user is signed in to forum

hosfordryan
I am trying to learn web development, and I am messing around with the forum that you can embed into your website. On my website, I have the forum working, but i noticed every time you refreshed the page, it logged you out of the forum. I know that this has something to do with cookies, except I am new and don't really know how to use them/ set them up so you don't have to log back in every time you refresh the page.
If someone could help me with this, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ryan

It shouldn't do that! There's either something missing from your description of the problem or it needs to be checked out by Nabble's staff. Please post the URL of your site or the forum?

The cookies Nabble issues should look after themselves and you shouldn't have to worry about them. If you have set your browser to refuse them, cleared them from your browser, embedded them in a site generated by one of the popular online site builder tools (some of which do strange things), or done anything else to affect them that itself may be the reason why you have the problem you do.

Tell us more about your site, preferably show us, by posting the URL, and give as much further explanation as you can.

Unfortunately, I cannot send you a link to the website as I'm not hosting it. I am just learning web design at the moment, so I am just testing from local files. Could the fact that i am not hosting it and chrome is just opening the html file from my computer be the problem?

As for a better explanation of my site and the problem, I have 4 different html files which have links to each other (about, contact, forum, etc.) all formatted from one css file.  I can navigate to each page fine, and when i log in to the forum, I can use it as you would expect, but if i press refresh or go to a different page and then back, I am logged out.
Thank you for the help.

That should not affect it. When updating my site and testing the changes locally the embedded forum still acts normally.

You can still post the URL of the forum so that can be tested by others as the forum remains hosted on Nabble servers even when embedded.
