Hi I recently set up a nabble forum on my site, and I'd like to set some of the topics to display the newest posts first, is there a way of doing that?

Simple answer: No!
For any normal forum that would make the discussion very difficult for a visitor to read with repeated up/down scrolling necessary. Perhaps you can explain why you would want such a system. If you want to view the latest post in any topic you can always select the "Last Post" link to it, to the right of the topic title on the main forum page and that takes you straight to the latest post. Will that do the job? Alternatively, in a forum with many sub-forums, "Topics View" may be a better way of viewing your forum. That view lists the latest post and the sub-forum in which it occurs.

I want it because I run a youtube network, and want my partners to be able to share their videos, and obviously I'd like the newest ones showing without people having to search through thousands of videos, plus they have the ability to make their own topics, I'd like the most recent and last posted in to be at the top of the feed, again otherwise people will never see the new posts.

If you search the forum you'll find there have been similar requests in the past and a hint that it should be possible once the "templating" facility was released. This feature was released as the NAML code editor accessed via the "Edit this page" link. Unfortunately, I can find no post in the Support forum that has provided the NAML code to switch the order in which posts are displayed and I don't have the skills to edit the code to achieve it.
While I can see the attraction, in some forums, of reversing the order of posts in any topic, I am still not clear how you are using the forum and why there is a problem in finding the the most recent posts. It is simply a matter of clicking on the "Last Post" link on pages where topics are listed. These jump to the most recent post in the topic even if that topic has hundreds of posts spreading over many pages. I'm still not clear about some of your points: I am not a regular user of YouTube and know very little of its features, but I thought that it was easy to share videos with others. What is missing in YouTube's features and how do you expect a Nabble forum help. If the forum is the answer, then have you considered asking your partners to "subscribe" to it. They would then receive an email every time a new post was made, so they would have no problem finding the latest video, regardless of the number of posts in the topic or sub-forum that the post was made. If the volume of emails would be a problem then a subscriber can opt to receive a daily digest that includes links to each post made in the previous 24 hours. As already explained you can always reach the newest ones via "Last Post" links that appear both on the "Main Page" and "Topics View" screens. The mention of "thousands of videos" may be a clue to the issue. How many "partners" do you have, 10s, 100s, 1000s? And how many videos will they want to share per day, week, or month? I have no clue about the volume of traffic you expect. You can stop users from creating new topics and force them to reply to existing topics by changing user permissions. Go to: Options > Users > Change Permissions Sub-forums, will inherit the permissions set for the parent forum, but this can be changed by over-riding a permission at the lower level. I'm not clear about your distinction between "most recent" and "last posted". I am also unclear about "feed". Are you expecting your users to use a Feed Reader and take advantage of the options under Nabble's "Feeds" link, or is that your term for the screens that list topics?
