How many ads will you put on my forum?

Hi, I wanted to ask this question because I would like to have two of my own Adsense ads on the forum. One at the top and one at the bottom of the page.. I could always just place 1 if need be. How many ads will you place? And are they Adsense ads? If so you could get us both banned from Adsense for showing too many Adsense ads on one page. Even if too many ads do not display on the page because Google will block them from showing, we can still be banned because of the code and the intention of trying to show more then allowed. Can you let  me know please. Thankyou!

A little research will show you that where ads appear on a Nabble forum, because the owner has not paid to have them removed, they'll be placed following the first post in any topic.

Also, I believe it depends on the application you select, Google ads may not be used. Nabble do serve some of their own. I'm not sure of the details but I am sure one of the team will be along soon with a better answer.

Thanks Greg, 1 ad is fine.  I will be using the "mixed" forum layout as that seems the best one for having seperate categorys.

Adsense allows 3 ad units per page max.  If you try to ad 4 the last one added won't show.

I suppose you MIGHT be able to thwart the system by have some ads appear on the "outer" page as Google might not realize it.  (I wouldn't do it!)

But I don't think you are in any danger of getting banned unless you are trying to game the system.

Hi,

I'm aware of how many ads are allowed with Adsense. It's actually 6 because they allow 3 link units also.  I have no intention of trying to scam the system (been with Adsense since it started), hence me posting here to find out how many ads per page you will show. The answer was that you show 1 adsense ad per page so that's fine. I will be showing 2 of my own adsense ads on the outer layer of the page ( top and bottom), so that makes 3 ads overall and all is well.

Hi peter250, we are still optimizing our ads so we can't tell for sure how many ads we will show per page. At this point, we show only one unit in the first post of the topic page. I believe we will end up with two units on the topic page, but it is too early to confirm this. I will try to keep this thread up-to-date about this.
