Go to the post, click "More" dropdown, there is a command "Move post to...", then you can enter the permalink of the new parent post or forum. You can get the permalink by going the target post or forum, and find the permalink there, then copy it, and go back to the "Move post to..." window to do the move.

I tried to move posts to newly created sub forums on our website but cannot see where the permalink is on the newly created sub forum? Has this solution changed since the original post was made?

Thanks

The solution should still work.

The only misleading thing is, perhaps, the references to "Permalinks". If your forum is not embedded then there will be no "Permalink" links. In that case simply use the URL of the target sub-forum page, shown in the address bar of your browser.

Thanks a lot Greg. By a little tinkering I had found out after posting a welcome message in each sub forum the Permalink option then appeared. I'm using embedded Nabble pages and by then following the original post discovered what you're now telling me. Thanks though for sending this information, I'm impressed by the help offered by other forum members like yourself. This is most welcome indeed. I have now managed to transfer all the original posts across to sub forums. Mike
